Two pairs of sweet twins under 5 die in a house fire.
The children, identified as Kyson, Bryson, Leyton, and Logan, were pulled from the fire by firefighters, who attempted to resuscitate them on the street. A 27-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of child neglect after the fatal fire on Collingwood Road, Sutton.
It is not yet known if anyone escaped the home before emergency services arrived.
The cause of the fire is also unknown until now.
According to heartbroken neighbors, the children were two pairs of “happy, sweet-natured twins.”
London Fire Commissioner Andy Row said the tragedy had left the crew “numb with deep sadness”, adding that they would be offered advice.
He said: “My thoughts are with the children’s family and friends, the entire local community and everyone who will be affected by this fire.
“Fire crews arrived quickly and located the children on the property.
“They were taken from the house and given immediate emergency care.
“The well-being of our personnel involved in this incident is very important to us and counseling will be offered to them as a priority.”
