Travis Scott Album Sales See Significant Increase After Astroworld Tragedy.
Travis Scott’s concert at Astroworld this year will remain a stain on music forever. 9 people have lost their lives as a result of poor crowd control and judgment. That controversy generated cash for Travis Scott.
Scott’s album was at # 50 on the Billboard Hot 200 last week. This week it rose 6 places. This surge in interest came amid more than 100 lawsuits filed against Scott and Live Nation, the company responsible for the Astroworld event.
The Astroworld album is slated to enter the top 40 of the Billboard 200 chart as hits daily double reports that the album will move to # 38, an increase of 12 spaces. He sold around 15,000 albums, 617 of them are “pure album sales”.
It is quite possible that this sudden interest in Scott created this sales momentum. He is reportedly still devastated by the tragedy and pulled out of N-Day in Las Vegas. He has also reportedly not left his home since he returned after the tragedy.
