Rocker Bryan Adams tests positive for COVID for the second time in a month.
MILAN – Bryan Adams tested positive for COVID-19 upon arrival at Milan Malpensa airport on Thursday, ahead of the presentation of the Pirelli 2022 calendar he photographed.
Canadian rock ‘n roller revealed the positive test in an Instagram post that included a photograph of him in a room after being examined and then sitting in an ambulance, being taken in for a more reliable PCR test. He was sitting normally, wearing a surgical mask.
“Here I am, I just arrived in Milan and I have tested positive for the second time in a month for COVID,” Adams said in the publication. “So I’m going to the hospital.” He thanked the fans for their support.
Adams, who also enjoys a career as a photographer, has filmed the 2022 Pirelli calendar, after being initially committed to shooting the 2021 version that was canceled due to the pandemic. Adams was expected to appear at press events in-person to promote the calendar on Sunday and Monday, but that was now uncertain.
Typically, the Pirelli calendar presentation is a gala event attended by those who appear and other VIPS, but this year it was already a small affair due to the ongoing pandemic, with a tight guest list for an evening cocktail party.
Adams chose as themes for the calendar titled “On the road,” other musical talents, including Iggy Pop, Cher, Jennifer Hudson, Saweetie, and St. Vincent.
