SINGAPORE – When firefighters attend to damaged solar panels on homes and buildings, they can be vulnerable to electric shocks, to which the body resistance of men and women is different.
The limit for women is approximately two-thirds of the limit for men. So when developing the standard for control of such hazards, the difference was considered to ensure the protection of male and female firefighters.
