Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, claims that Manchester United is regaining its ability to compete at the top of the standings.
United’s last prize was in 2017, and the last time they won the Premier League was in 2013.
However, they haven’t lost in seven games since being defeated 6-3 by City, and Guardiola claims manager Erik ten Hag has made improvements.
Guardiola said, “I feel that United is coming back.
I saw that on Thursday [in the 3-0 victory against Sheriff Tiraspol] and against Chelsea in the opening half of the 1-1 draw last weekend. So, finally, United is making a comeback.
“I said that I am pleased with United as of late. There will be several teams competing like United. You must compete to earn a spot in the Champions League and contend for the championship because of this.”
According to Guardiola, Newcastle will likely be a championship and top-four contender this year.
Guardiola, whose City team is vying for a third straight Premier League crown, continued, “Newcastle are already there.”
“I saw them play Tottenham. Kane and Son faced the center defenders going man-to-man with no issues.
“In the third game of the year, we faced them. Think about this squad just having one fun every week. We are aware of Eddie’s managerial abilities.
“They now have fresh talent. United act bravely. They have a chance of going.”
