Liverpool End Manchester City’s Unbeaten Run In EPL

Liverpool put their recent Premier League difficulties behind them to end Manchester City’s undefeated run at Anfield in an exciting and heated clash that saw Jurgen Klopp sent off.

Erling Haaland’s goals put City in a strong position, but Liverpool overcame the defending champions by finding their form, which had been missing most of the season.

Haaland, for once, did not score, and Liverpool’s star Mohamed Salah made the decisive contribution.

After Joao Cancelo slipped, Salah raced to a clearing from the goalkeeper Alisson and past Ederson with an excellent finish with 14 minutes remaining.

Ederson earlier denied Salah in a similar one-on-one position, and City boss Pep Guardiola was incensed when a goal by Phil Foden that would have given his team the lead was disallowed due to Haaland’s foul on Fabinho.

Despite forcing two saves from Alisson, Haaland’s day was not to be; however, Liverpool finally showed why they have constantly been City’s most significant danger, and Anfield was filled with joy.

The referee Anthony Taylor dismissed Klopp for his complaints during the tense conclusion when he believed Salah had been fouled. Still, after the heat has subsided, he will be ecstatic with a convincing victory.
