Lionel Messi Marked His 100th International Win With Two Goals

Argentina easily defeated Jamaica in a friendly game as Lionel Messi celebrated his 100th international victory with two goals.

Argentina’s undefeated streak now stands at 35, two short of Italy’s 37-match world record.

After being set up by Lautaro Martinez, Manchester City striker Julian Alvarez scored the winning goal for Lionel Scaloni’s team.

Messi, 35, entered the game after 56 minutes, swept in a shot, and curled in a free kick.

The Paris St. Germain forward’s two goals, which came after he scored twice in a victory against Honduras, brought his nation to 90 goals in a record 164 games.

Argentina played their last match before the World Cup in New Jersey.

On November 22, Saudi Arabia will face the two-time World Cup winners, among the favorites for this year’s competition.
