Lindsay Lohan and Chord Overstreet are totally in love in Netflix’s Christmas movie

After a hiatus, the 35-year-old actor will be joining “Glee” star Chord Overstreet in a new Netflix rom-com due out next year.

The official summary reads: “A spoiled and newly engaged hotel heiress (Lohan) suffers a skiing accident, suffers from total amnesia and finds herself in the care of a handsome cabin owner (Overstreet) and his precocious daughter in the days before to Christmas “.

While the film remains untitled for now, production and filming began recently.

The film also stars George Young, Jack Wagner, and Olivia Perez.

The director of Hallmark Channel’s “A Christmas Waltz”, Janeen Damian, is at the helm and is also the scriptwriter for the Christmas movie alongside writers Jeff Bonnett, Ron Oliver, and Michael Damian.

In May it became known that the film would star the “Parent Trap” actress when Netflix shared a photo of her via Twitter.

Netflix shared the first look photo Friday on social media. The snap showed 32-year-old Overstreet and Lohan looking happy and in love as they rocked comfortable winter clothes against a backdrop of twinkling Christmas lights.

Lohan has taken a step back from the big screen in recent years. While she starred in “Among the Shadows” in 2019, her last animated role was in 2013’s “The Canyons” alongside porn star James Deen.

He most recently appeared on his MTV reality show “Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club” in 2019 and as a judge on the Australian installment of “The Masked Singer.”

That same year, the “Mean Girls” star revealed to Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper on CNN’s New Year’s Eve special that he wanted to “go back to America and start filming again.” He also wanted to “take back the life I worked so hard for and share it with my family and with you.”
