Kim Kardashian Offers Support To Family Of Convicted Man As Execution Date Approaches.
Kim Kardashian has been very interested in the law lately. Wanting to follow in the footsteps of his father, Robert Kardashian, he has been studying and advocating for prison reform.
While a man awaits news about whether his execution will go ahead as planned, Kim K. is offering support to his family, according to OkeyNews.
Julius Jones is scheduled to be executed on November 18. He has been in prison for almost 20 years after a conviction for the fatal shooting of Paul Howell in a botched carjacking in 1999.
At just 22 years old, he was sentenced to death for his role in the crimes, although Jones maintains his innocence.
Julius’s sister, Antoinette Jones, says Kardashian has contacted the family recently. As Jones awaits his fate from Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt on whether the execution will go as planned, Kim has been offering comfort.
Kardashian also shared updates on the Jones case on her Instagram. The Jones family says Kim’s tireless lobbying and influence have been invaluable to the family.
Now, as the clock ticks on Julius Jones’ life, Kim Kardashian is making one last plea to save her life.
“I want to give everyone an update on Julius Jones. We are all anxiously awaiting a decision from Governor Stitt. You may choose to accept the recommendation (a second time) from the Parole Board, to award Julius Clemency / Life w. the possibility of parole or execution on Thursday 18.
Julius, his family, and everyone on his team still hope that Stitt will do the right thing. Today, Julius’s family and close friends received invitations to his execution. I can’t even imagine how everyone must feel right now.”
Kim K. worked with President Donald Trump to obtain clemency from rapper Kodak Black.
He previously met with Trump to discuss his agenda on prison reform. Now, its influence is truly being put to the test.
