Next month’s international friendlies against the world champion United States and Czech Republic will see the return of Chloe Kelly and Fran Kirby to England’s lineup.

Due to injuries, the two missed England’s September World Cup qualifying matches.

Everton midfielder Jessica Park, on loan from Manchester City, and West Ham defender Lucy Parker got their first call-ups.

Steph Houghton, a former captain, had no place.

Since Sarina Wiegman was appointed head coach in September 2021, the Manchester City defender, who has played 121 times for England, including five major tournaments, has not competed for the Lionesses.

Houghton recovered from an Achilles injury she sustained in January and is now back in City’s starting lineup for the current campaign.

Additionally, there were no spots for Nikita Parris of Manchester United, Bethany England of Chelsea, Jordan Nobbs, and Lotte Wubben-Moy of Arsenal.

Last summer, Wubben-Moy, England, and Parris contributed to England’s victory in the European Championship while Nobbs was injured.

On October 7 at a sold-out Wembley, the Lionesses take on the USA before playing the Czech Republic four days later in Brighton.
