In other words, you don’t think people are going to inhabit the planet full time … but that it will become more of a vacation destination.Bezos spoke at Ignatius Form in DC and suggested that outer space will be where humans will live. He spoke of floating space cities that are so massive … containing forests, wildlife, rivers, the works. He also said that all manufacturing will take place in deep space.It’s almost as if it’s inspired by William shatnerThe “Star Trek” character … which may partly explain why Shatner recently traveled on Blue Origin.And, always as a competitor, he shot Elon Musk, saying that these colonies are much more likely to float in space rather than settle on Mars.As for the land … well, as he said, it will just be a place you visit … “the way you visit Yellowstone National Park.”Bezos told the crowd: “For centuries, many people will be born in space, it will be their first home.”
