How old is Pokémon character Ash Ketchum: The Pokémon anime aired in Japan in 1997 and in the United States in 1998. It followed Ash on his quest to master Pokémon.
After Ash came late to Professor Oak’s lab, he was given his first starting Pokémon, Pikachu, on his tenth birthday. Despite a rocky beginning, he soon develops a close friendship with Pikachu and sets off on an extensive trip.
The anime tracked his progress as Ash began his trip to the Kanto area and tried to win the Kanto Pokémon League. He has visited the Orange Islands, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh’s Battle Frontier, Unova, Kalos, Alola, and Galar throughout his travels.
He undertook every region’s gym challenge along the route (if there was one) and worked to become the champion of every area. As a result, he has won the Orange League Champion and the Alola area Champion.
It’s hard to think that Ash is still a ten-year-old after all this time, given how much time it would take to tour the regions, go on adventures, meet various Pokémon species, and compete.
Ash hasn’t gone on an experience in a single day since there are episodes with the crew at night or while they’re sleeping off fatigue. But is he still young?
Ash became ten years old as of Pokémon Journeys. Even though time has undoubtedly passed since he first acquired Pikachu, his age has not altered.
Even though the Pokémon anime has been on television for more than 20 years, Ash doesn’t seem to have aged. His accomplishments in the anime are difficult for a ten-year-old, much alone an adult.
Ash doesn’t participate in the Pokémon League or complete Gym tasks in every episode. In Pokémon Journeys, he goes on adventures with his pals and travels the world.
Ash’s age hasn’t changed, but his painting style and clothing have.
Ash does have a birthday; it falls on May 22. This indicates that, in anime time, his travels have been completed in less than a year.
Over 20 years after making that promise to viewers when they were kids. He may even grow up as the best Pokémon master in the world at the age of 10.
