West Ham overcame a deficit to defeat Fulham thanks to a third straight goal from Gianluca Scamacca.

After six minutes, Andreas Pereira’s tight-angle shot gave Fulham the lead.

But when Pereira fouled Craig Dawson in a corner, Jarrod Bowen was awarded the penalty and scored.

Scamacca wasted many decent opportunities but scored when it mattered by lobbing Bernd Leno. A defensive blunder then allowed Michail Antonio to score the third.

Kurt Zouma failed to stop Pereira on the left side of the West Ham box, and the Brazilian beat ukasz Fabianski for power with a drive high into the goal from a tight angle to give Fulham the early advantage.

In an exciting first half filled with chances, Scamacca wasted three chances to square the score for West Ham before Daniel James hit the crossbar from 20 yards out with a dipping left-foot attempt.

Instead, the Hammers equalized via penalty kick, with Pereira switching from being the hero to the villain after shoving Dawson to the ground from a corner. Bowen successfully executed the penalty kick to Bernd Leno’s right.

After a protracted video assistance referee (VAR) review, Scamacca ultimately scored in spectacular style by chipping Leno after missing another headed opportunity from six yards.

With 10 minutes left, Antonio took his position, and the substitute hilariously closed the game. After Tim Ream and the German goalkeeper Leno collided while attempting to clear, the striker was accidentally given an open goal to score.
