Georgia SEC Soccer Power Rankings to Vanderbilt After Week 11.

The more games are played, the more confusing SEC Soccer teams seem to be, at least after placing Georgia in the top spot of the weekly SEC Power Ratings. There was a bit of drama and mayhem in Week 11, but fear not: Cupcake Saturday comes with a weak roster of games this week.

Here are the rankings for week 12:

No. 1 Georgia (10-0, 8-0)

Last week: 1

This week: Charleston Southern

What to know: Tennessee proved that a high-powered offense can score over Georgia. The Dawgs showed that you can’t score much, and they have their own offense.

No. 2 Alabama (9-1, 5-1)

Last week: 3

This week: Arkansas

What to know: If beating a team named Aggies was on the checklist, consider that it is checked. After your own cupcake, the Crimson Tide is ready for a homemade barbecue.

No. 3 Ole Miss (8-2, 4-2)

Last week: 4

This week: against Vanderbilt

What to know: Imagine the carnage that would have been unleashed on the visiting Aggies if Katy Perry had booked a comeback appearance at The Grove.

No. 4 Arkansas (7-3, 3-3)

Last week: 6

This week: in Alabama

What to know: Razorbacks have all the charm of a boar at times, but they know how to scratch and scratch. Nobody said that winning had to be beautiful.

No. 5 Kentucky (7-3, 5-3)

Last week: 8

This week: State of New Mexico

What to know: The Wildcats schedule tougher basketball games in November than this Vanderbilt-New Mexico State turn. There is no Final Four for the soccer team, but a sunny Florida Bowl offering looks promising.

No. 6 Texas A&M (7-3, 4-3)

Last week: 2

This week: View of the meadow

What to know: The Aggies are like Eddie Haskell. They put on a big face when everyone is looking, but they turn their backs for a minute and their true colors are showing.

No. 7 Mississippi State (6-4, 4-3)

Last week: eleven

This week: State of Tennessee

What to know: Those cowbells are annoying, but not nearly as annoying as trying to figure out exactly how good or not this gear is from week to week.

No. 8 Auburn (6-4, 3-3)

Last week: 7

This week: in South Carolina

What to know: “I’m Auburn in the first half, I score at will and I look like a contender in the SEC West.” “I’m Auburn in the second half and I thought soccer games were 30 minutes long.”

No. 9 Tennessee (5-5, 3-4)

Last week: 5

This week: against south Alabama

What to know: It should be easy to navigate for Navy Vol from here. A strong finish and a bowl win and they could name a street after Josh Heupel at Rocky Top.

No. 10 Missouri (5-5, 2-4)

Last week: 13

This week: Florida

What to know: No pressure, Tigers, all they have to do is score 55 or higher in Florida and keep the Gators under 70 to get past Samford. Defeat them and you will go bowling.

No. 11 LSU (4-6, 2-5)

Last week: 9

This week: Louisiana-Monroe

What to know: For one thing, you have to give LSU credit for playing rough with a lame-duck trainer. On the other hand, 2019 seems to have passed a lifetime.

No. 12 South Carolina (5-5, 2-5)

Last week: 10

This week: against Auburn

What to know: South Carolina is one victory away from bowl eligibility and a breakthrough in Shane Beamer’s freshman year. Auburn and Clemson look beatable, but it will take some work.

No. 13 Florida (5-5, 2-5)

Last week: 12

This week: in Missouri

What to know: So this is what the Gator’s defense looks like without Todd Grantham. Who would say that the former UF defensive coordinator in conflict was actually a miracle worker?

No. 14 Vanderbilt (2-8, 0-6)

Last week: 14

This week: in Ole Miss

What to know: Vanderbilt released renderings this week of major planned facility improvements. Now Clark Lea must get to work updating the product in the field. Don’t expect either one right away.
