The G7 swore on Wednesday to “stand with Ukraine for as long as it takes,” promising to assist Kyiv in obtaining the necessary funds and pleading with Moscow to stop its “unjust and barbaric conflict.”

In a joint statement, the G7 finance ministers and central bankers welcomed Australia’s entry into the coalition. They noted that negotiations on a proposed price restriction on Russian oil had made “substantial progress.”
