Emma Raducanu of Great Britain defeated third-seeded Magda Linette 6-2, 6-2 to go to the Korea Open semifinals.
Since her run to the US Open triumph in 2021, this is the first time the 19-year-old has won three consecutive matches.
The British number one has not yet lost a set at the WTA competition.
She will compete against top seed Jelena Ostapenko, who advanced to the championship round after defeating 18-year-old Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva 6-2, 6-1.
Raducanu said, “I believe Magda was experiencing it a little physically. She’s a tremendously tricky player, so she’s had a lot of matches and fantastic victories, but sometimes it catches up with the body.
Making my first semifinal and starting my tour the correct way by going through the stages, in my opinion, is quite significant.

In the first set, Raducanu had a dominating 4-0 lead after a quick start and didn’t lose a point on her first serve.
However, in Raducanu’s first service game in the second set, Linette of Poland earned three break points.
However, the formerly ranked player 10 established herself, winning five straight games to maintain serve before breaking Linette for a 2-1 advantage.
Raducanu practiced her serve during Linette’s medical off-court stoppage, and the Briton proceeded to dominate to take the lead 5-1.
The match was then quickly served out by Raducanu, who claimed victory in one hour and sixteen minutes. Raducanu waved to the crowd as he left the court while grinning.
By defeating Taro Daniel of Japan 6-4, 6-4, British No. 2 Dan Evans advanced to the San Diego Open quarterfinals. On Friday, he will perform against Frenchman Constant Lestienne.
