The organization said, “This video game has significant support from many people, displaying the dark fantasy world with overwhelming volume and quality.”

The big winners were Hidetaka Miyazaki, the game director, and Elden Ring. He received the Minister of Economy, Trade, and Business Award for “contributing to the expansion of the computer gaming industry.”
It also noted that Miyazaki’s efforts on Demon’s Souls, Dark Souls, and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice helped “create an own genre” of video games.
The inscription, a former Game of the Year winner before converted to the PlayStation in 2022, won the Game Designer’s Award. Which voted upon by a committee of Japanese developers.
