Bebe Rexha shared an emotional video about her struggle with body image, specifically during the holidays, and shared that she is not comfortable in her own skin.
“So it’s the holidays and I know we’re all supposed to be, like, happy and like, ‘Yay, it’s the holidays,’ which I’m … ish,” the 32-year-old singer began in a video posted on TikTok on Monday. “I think I’m the heaviest I’ve ever had. I weighed myself a moment ago and I don’t feel comfortable sharing the weight because I feel embarrassed. ”
Then she cried as she continued, “I feel disgusting, you know, like in my own body.”
The “Me, Myself, & I” singer explained that she has not wanted to post as much on her Instagram or TikTok because she has felt very depressed about her weight.
“I don’t feel good in my skin and when I don’t feel good, I don’t want to post and that’s really the reason why I haven’t been posting in the last year or so as much as I used to. ,” she said.
Rexha also admitted that her battle with body image comes from “a place of pain and confusion” of how to help herself and that she also struggles with how to love herself.
Rexha has a history of sharing positive body messages with her fans on social media.
In June, she took to TikTok to share a video of herself dressed in sexy lingerie, asking viewers to “normalize” women who weigh 165 pounds. And in December 2019 she posed in a bikini on Instagram where she proudly showed off her stretch marks.
