A fire breaks out at the world’s largest produce market in Paris: On Sunday, a warehouse fire at a considerable produce market, which claims itself as the biggest of its type in the world and provides most of the fresh food for the French capital and the surrounding area, sent a billowing column of black smoke towering above Paris.

While they battled the fire at the warehouse at the Rungis International Market, firefighters warned residents to avoid the area in the southern suburbs of Paris.

There were no reports of injuries right away.

With more than 12,000 employees and warehouses stocked with fresh produce, fish, meats, dairy goods, and flowers from all over France and the globe, the enormous wholesale market is an actual town.
